Penguin’s Adventures

This little inquisitive Penguin keeps finding mysterious objects buried in the snow. Where have they come from? Have they fallen from passing aeroplanes high above the Antarctic sky? Determined to return the lost treasures to their rightful owners, Gus sets off on an adventure, helped along the way by a cast of curious and colourful friends.

Banjo wants to play Peekaboo

Banjo wants to play peekaboo — but nothing seems to go quite right. “What do you think you’re doing?” everyone cries, and Banjo begins to feel unsure of himself.

On his way home, he discovers the perfect playmate waiting for him — Hamish, his loyal dog — and together they find the joy of playing in their own way.

A gentle, heart-warming story about friendship, being oneself, and finding where you belong.

Moonchild and the Raven

Raven loves shiny things. Moonchild loves the moon. Together they set off on luminous adventures, drawn to all things that glow and shimmer.

In one story, they discover a fallen star and gently return it to the night sky. In another, they explore a world of moonbeams and colour, where light dances and imagination takes flight.

Two magical puppet stories filled with light, colour, streamers, and bubbles — celebrating wonder, friendship, and the beauty of the night sky.

Chasing Colours

La Petite Ballerine loves to dance. One spring morning, she steps out of her little suitcase theatre, ready to twirl amongst the colours of the season. But the world is grey — rain has washed the colour away.

Determined to find it again, she sets off on a gentle adventure. Along the way, friends show her where colours hide — in rainbows, bubbles, prisms, raindrops, and the dew of early morning.

At last, as the sun breaks through the clouds, a great rainbow fills the sky and the world is bathed once more in light and colour.

A joyful, visually rich puppet story about hope, resilience, and discovering beauty in unexpected places.

Old King Cole Was Not a Merry Old Soul

It’s Old King Cole’s birthday, and he bounces excitedly out of bed, sliding down the bannisters in anticipation. But when he looks around the palace, there are no presents. He searches every room — still nothing.

From the window, he spots his friends in the courtyard, yet no one shouts, “Happy Birthday!” Dejected, the King returns to his throne and dozes off, convinced his special day has been forgotten.

Little does he know, whispers are echoing along the palace corridors, and secret plans are afoot. Soon, the King is woken to the most wonderful surprise party of all, with a giant cake and jelly, laughter, and every friend gathered to celebrate.

A joyful, comic puppet tale about friendship, misunderstandings, and the delight of being remembered

Bookworm and the Impossible Flight

Bookworm lives in the quietest corner of the library, where the great dusty books sit untouched. Small and unnoticed, he dreams of something extraordinary — of rising up through the library roof with great fluttering moth-like wings and travelling beyond the shelves to the stars.

One night, he spins himself a tiny cocoon. When he wakes, he has wings.

Up he flies — through the skylight, past the rooftops, and onwards towards the moon — until he disappears from sight.

But deep within the pages of a book lies an egg. Soon, a new little bookworm hatches… and the story begins again.

A magical puppet tale about dreams, life, transformation, and the courage to imagine the impossible.

Magical Firebird Baby

A golden feather drifts down through the moonlight and settles on the forest floor. Raven senses something extraordinary and gathers his friends — Mouse, Frog, and La Petit Ballerine — to seek the wisdom of Owl.

The feather belongs to the rare Firebird, bringer of warmth and good fortune. If there is a feather, there must be an egg — and it will need protecting. When Sly Snake overhears their plan and tries to interfere, the friends must act quickly.

But when the Firebird chick hatches in a blaze of light, it proves more powerful than anyone imagined.

A bright, magical puppet adventure about courage, friendship, and protecting something precious.

The Remarkable Egg

When Raven finds a mysterious egg on the forest floor, she is sure it has fallen from her nest. She carefully places it beside her own growing chicks — but this egg begins to shimmer and change colour.

Meanwhile, Butterfly is searching for her small, colourful egg. She asks Frog, Mouse… and then Raven.  But before Raven can answer, Butterfly spies it in the nest.

The egg wobbles, jiggles — crack! Out pops not a raven chick, but a tiny green caterpillar.

Raven is astonished. Butterfly explains that butterflies begin life as caterpillars, growing and changing before they ever take to the sky.

As Raven’s chicks stretch their wings, tadpoles swim, and the caterpillar nibbles and grows and the life cycle starts all over again in the woods. Everyone has their own time to become who they are meant to be.

A bright springtime puppet story about transformation, nature, and belonging.

The Incredible Magic Flute

The Mysterious Sea Star

When Mouse sees a bright star shoot across the sky, over the forest, and splashes into the sea, she has to know why. “Why are the stars falling?” she asks.

The question travels from Frog to Raven, from Seagull to Big Fish — who dives deep beneath the waves to discover the truth.

On a glowing underwater adventure past shipwrecks, starfish, silvery shoals, and drifting jellyfish, Big Fish reaches the home of Octopus. There, he finds the fallen star shimmering on the ocean floor.

The friends soon realise the star belongs in the sky. Though Raven would love to keep its silvery glow, together they return it — up through the sea, into the air, and back to its rightful place among the stars.

A light-filled, interactive puppet adventure featuring a glowing sea star, shimmering jellyfish, and the wonders of the deep.

Puppet Shows (Ages 0–5)  (Between 10 – 15 minutes Approx)

My puppet shows for very young children are inspired by the seasons, Scottish landscapes, fairy tales, animals, and nature, celebrating who we are with a sense of confidence and belonging as part of the natural world. Living on the edge of the Cairngorms in Scotland, I draw deeply from the poetry and storytelling held within the landscape around me. I am the narrator, and all the voices of the animals and characters as I dance around bring each character to life.

Through gentle, interactive theatre, I aim to spark children’s imagination and encourage a sense of curiosity, ask questions and care for the world they are growing up in. These early experiences of story and live performance can nurture creativity, attention, and a connection to nature, encouraging the storytellers, artists of all kinds, and thinkers of the future.

The Puppet shows all come with a simple set, lighting, and soft flooring, and approximately three metres square. In addition, I have bubble machines and a star projector.

Ideal accompaniments for these performances are:

  • My sensory, art-based play sessions are designed especially for the very young. Children explore different materials — paper, water, fabrics, bubbles, textures, colour, and light, explore mark-making, ripping and crunching paper, layering, and simple sound-making. These sessions are tactile, exploratory, and responsive, allowing children to discover through doing.

  • My lively nursery fun rhyme and song session. These are playful, high-energy moments where children are invited to move, sing, and join in using ribbons, simple percussion instruments, and rhythm games. The focus is on shared joy, coordination, listening, and confidence through music and movement.
